White Pagoda Mountain is located at north of the Yellow River, in the Baitashan park scenery area of Lanzhou city. The mountain is named due to the white pagoda on the main summit of the mountain. According to legend, the pagoda was built for memorize a famous Tibet Lama who die of illness on his way to audience with Chinggis Khan.

What to See/Do: The mountain is rugged and not so tall. It is regarded as a “natural protective screen” at north of Lanzhou. You can take a cable car across the Yellow River and enjoy spectacular views for just 45 RMB for adults and 20 RMB for children for a round trip. Climbing into the pagoda, the high points provide a panoramic view of the Lanzhou city. At the foot of the mountain is the Yellow River. The best times to visit the mountain are from March to May and September to November.
