- Jinli Street
Jinli was said to be one of the oldest streets in Chengdu. It was well– known throughout the country in Qin and Han Dynasties and the Three Kingdoms Period and had the most commercial atmosphere at that time.
Now it covers an area of over 30,000 square meters, the whole street is 550 meters long. It gathers tourism, shopping, relaxation and recreation together. 2. Yulin Streets
Yulin Streets, a traditional neighborhood at the south of Chengdu, are absolutely filled with delicacies and pubs. It is like a paradise of food in local people’s hearts. There are everything that you expect to find, especially spicy food, such as barbecue, hot pot, Chuanchuan and lobster. Each old restaurant here provides typical and excellent Chengdu food. The most popular restaurants lie at “Yulin Beilu–Yulin Nanlu” and “Yulin Donglu–Yulin Xilu”.
3. Yipintianxia Gourmet Street
Built by Chengdu city and Jinniu District government, Yipintianxia is a high-end gourmet street that stands for Chengdu gourmet culture and catering. It is located in Jinniu District and covers an area of over 460,000 square meters. Now there are over 160 restaurants and shops including Wenxin Restaurant, Daronghe Sichuan Cuisine Flagship Store, Hongxing Restaurant, Zhoudama Xiyanghong Boutique Sichuan Cuisine Restaurant and Kuailelaojia Hotpot, etc. It is a good place for foodies who love high-end authentic Sichuan cuisines.
4. Wenshufang Snack Street
Located near Renmin Zhonglu, the downtown of Chengdu, Wenshufang Snack Street boasts numerous Chengdu snacks; you can find every kind of local food you want. There are many time-honored brands, such as Longchaoshou (Wontons), Zhongshuijiao (Boiled dumplings) and Laitangyuan (sticky rice balls). 5. Xiangheli Street
Located between the 1st Ring Road and Tianxiangjie, Xiangheli is a distinctive residential area. Under the urban construction programme, Xiangheli is constructed to be a special catering street. It is also a representative place of Chengdu cuisines at the eastern part of Chengdu. The famous food here are Gagatuyao (Gaga Rabbit Lumbar), Kanggege roasted bullfrog and Xiangweimian (delicious noodles) and more.
