Day 1: Arrival in Beijing

Your flight will touch down in our capital city today. Our local professional guide and experienced driver will meet you outside the baggage claim area at the airport, and then transfer you to check in at the hotel. The rest of the day is for you to recover from the jet leg. 

Day 2: Mutianyu Great Wall +Optional Activities

Our guide and driver will meet you at hotel lobby at 8:30AM. You will be accompanied to start the Great Wall tour. Visit the world-famous Great Wall at the Mutianyu section. This section has stunning views and is usually less crowed than other popular parts. In addition, today you can choose some optional activities, including the Forbidden City (closed on Monday) + Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace or Temple of Heaven + the Olympic park ( view the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube from outside). You can choose from these according to your interest.
Optional Free-time Ideas:
A Peking Roast Duck Banquet or a fine dining would be a beautiful ending to this amazing day.
Enjoy a magnificent Kungfu Show at the Red Theater.
Pecking Opera Show at Liyuan Theater would also be a great surprise.

Day 3: Explore Beijing on your own

Explore Beijing like a local and enjoy some personal time. Tour the Hutongs (Alleys) by walking or taking rickshaws. Or you may visit some Antique shops in Beijing. You can also take the “Beijing Escorted Antique Buying Day Tour”.

Day 4: High-speed Train Transfer from Beijing to Xi’an

Enjoy a leisurely morning. Your guide and driver will take you to train station to board the high-speed train G87 at 2 pm, arriving in Xi’an at 6: 25 pm. The Xi’an guide and driver will welcome you at train station and send you to hotel to check in.

Day 5: Terracotta Warriors + Optional Activities

Today, you will be accompanied by private guide and driver for the whole day. You may choose any of the below listed Optional Tours to add on to your exploration of Xi’an in addition to visiting the Terracotta Warriors today.

Xi’an – The ancient capital of China for thirteen dynasties and historic gateway to the old Silk Road trading route.

Optional Free-time Ideas:
Xi’an Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show is listed on many “Top 10s” and your guide can help you buy a ticket.
A cost free alternative is a relaxing evening stroll in the parks and grounds of the Big and Small Wild Goose Pagoda. They look gorgeous at night.


Day 6: Flight from Xi’an to Chongqing

After breakfast, take the flight to Chongqing. Our local guide will meet you and take a trip to Ciqikou Ancient Town. After lunch, board the luxury cruise to start your majestic Yangtze River Tour.

Day 7: Yangtze River Cruise

After breakfast climb up through the cloud into the surreal atmosphere of the Fengdu Ghost City, hanging in the mist. The scenery here makes a spooky drawing, also offering an amazing place for taking pictures. Today the ship’s crew will offer you a formal welcome banquet and an optional party with great food and drink.

Relax with reading ‘River Town – Two years on the Yangtze’, an enjoyable Kiriyama Prize-winning book written by an American teacher, Amazon Paperback(not on Kindle), while enjoying the happy hours onboard.

Day 8:Yangtze River Cruise

Take sampans to go deep into the gorges, see beyond the main river. Doubtlessly, the perfect natural beauty makes the best setting for your China holiday. Enjoy it!

By taking sampans, you can get deeper into nature. They are a kind of Chinese traditional fishing boats, propelled by oars, which makes the strength and muscles of your boat men another spectacle to admire as much as the narrow beautiful gorges. Good to Know: Taking a sampan is a top experience. Scenery & Excursions is narrated in English.

Meals are included and served on the ship.


Day 9: Yichang to Shanghai by flight

In Yichang, you’ll have the chance to visit the Three Gorges Dam, the largest water containment project ever undertaken. Our guide will take you to airport to take the flight to Shanghai in the afternoon, just in time to catch the neon lights lighting up. Capture the city’s glamour through your lens and feel the city’s pulse.

Good to Know: The Three Gorges Dam – It generates as much power as around 10 nuclear power stations, and is 10 times longer than the Hoover dam. Even non-engineers find this amazing, and worth the visit.

Meals: Breakfast is included and served on the ship. Lunch and dinner are not included.


Day 10: Enjoy the Beauty of Shanghai

Shanghai is often described as “the Paris of the East”, a dynamic city with impressive architecture. You will be escorted to stroll down the Bund and Nanjing Road, the Yuyuan Garden, and get to know the locals by visiting the Tianzifang Street and Old French Concession area. In the evening, take a Huangpu River Cruise.

Optional Free-time Ideas:
Shanghai Acrobatic Show can be booked for you to enjoy the jaw-dropping scenes.
If you can spare one more day here, the Suzhou Garden and Tongli Water Town visit can be arranged to enrich your stay in Shanghai. The extra cost is $100 per person.


Day 11: Departure from Shanghai

Your guide and driver will meet you at hotel lobby . Then you will be accompanied to take the Maglev train at Longyang Road Station, to the airport. Your memorable China trip ends here.
