Day 1: Arrival in Beijing with warmest welcome

Upon your arrival in Beijing, our local tour guide will meet you at the airport, holding a welcome board with your names on. A bunch of beautiful flowers will be handed to you for free as an excellent beginning of romance on the tour. Our guide and driver will then transfer you to check in at the pre-booked boutique hotel. The rest of the time is for you to have a good rest.

Day 2: Royal Digs in Forbidden City and Hutong Experience by Rickshaw (B, L)

Today you are going to explore the royal palace of China’s last two dynasties-the Forbidden City, the largest and the most complete wooden palace in exist. On the way, you will see the Tiananmen Square, another popular destination, where Chairman Mao announced the establishment of New China. Later, explore the Treasure Gallery and Clock and Watch Gallery if you are interested.

Today’s lunch will be arranged at a local family. There you will have a chance to learn how to make dumplings, which is surely great fun.

In the afternoon, hop on a rickshaw and ride through the Hutongs by Houhai Lake. Hutong, refers to the old Beijingers’ residential area, formed by lines of traditional courtyards. Wandering around the narrow alleys with gray-colored walls and bricks, you will just forget the hustle and bustle of busy city life. Grab a drink at Houhai Waterfront Bar and enjoy the amazing night view of Houhai Lake closely.

Dinner Idea: This evening, you may have dinner at Quanjude Restaurant close to the Houhai Lake, where you can try the most renowned local delicacy, Peking Roast Duck. Or if you prefer some local dishes, our tour guide will be glad to offer you some recommendations.


Day 3: Once-in-a-lifetime Honeymoon Photos Taken at Mutianyu Great Wall (B)

No trip to Beijing is complete without a day trip to the Great Wall. Today you will visit the world’s eighth wonder -Great Wall at Mutianyu Section, which is less crowded and offers even more grand views. Most importantly, today you may have the once-in-a-lifetime Honeymoon Photos taken on the greatest man-made project. Standing inside a mountaintop tower gazing out at some of the 4,000 meandering miles of wall gives a couple a powerful way to contemplate how to build something strong that lasts forever.

After one day walking and climbing on the great wall, a comfortable Spa will be arranged for you in the downtown.

Lunch Idea: You could have lunch at the Schoolhouse Restaurant where the American First Lady had lunch during her visit in China. Or the tour guide could recommend some other proper restaurants for you. For dinner, you may also ask for some advice from your guide.


Day 4: Your own exploration (B)

Explore Beijing like a local and enjoy some personal time. You may go shopping in Beijing ( places you may like are Yashow Market, Panjiayuan Antique Market, Laitai Flower Market etc.) or stroll around local parks, or immerse yourself in 798 Art Zone.

This evening, the amazing Kungfu Show at Red Theater will be arranged for you. Your guide will deliver the tickets to you in advance and you may take the public transportation to enjoy the evening entertainment. In this way, you will not only experience the local life but also have some personal time with each other.


Day 5: Experience high-speed train from Beijing to Xi’an (B)

You will take the State Cabins on high-speed train G655 (10:05/15:31) from Beijing to Xi’an. The train ride takes about 5 hours and it is clean and cozy. You will not regret taking this train because there are ravishing countryside scenery along the way. Upon your arrival in Xi’an train station, you local guide will meet you and transfer you to check in at the hotel in the city.

This evening, you will enjoy the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show at Tang Dynasty Palace, which is the best theater offers this show. Your guide will deliver the tickets to you in advance. You may take the public transportation to enjoy the evening entertainment. You will have some personal time as you did in Beijing.


Day 6: Must-see of Terracotta Warriors Museum and Make Your Own Warriors (B, L)

Terracotta Army is the must-see in Xi’an. Today you will have enough time to explore the 3 pits that contain the army and the adjacent museum. Experience the majestic atmosphere by fixing your eyes on the life-size terracotta warriors and horses aged more than 2,200 years. You will be astonished to see the grand scene with large amount of 8,000 terracotta warriors standing or squatting in order, waiting for their emperor’s order. Lunch will be served within the museum complex during a short break.

Then move to the nearby workshop where you can learn to make the clay warriors. The warriors you make can be kept as a memento of your trip to China. What’s more, the workshop can also make full size warriors according to your looks and post to you if you like.

Later afternoon, explore Muslim Quarter and learn Paper Cutting in Family Gao Courtyard. In Chinese tradition, A big paper-cut character “Xi” (meaning happiness) is a must on the newlyweds’ door. You can learn to make a paper cutting with your own design and bring back as a keepsake. Then, take a stroll out of the Muslim Quarter to the Drum and Bell Tower area with numerous neon lights illuminating the whole city.


Day 7: Flight from Xi’an to Shanghai (B)

Enjoy the Xi’an City Wall Opening Gate Ceremony in the morning. Then you can take a bike ride along the Ancient City Wall , which is the largest ancient city wall of China and a popular activity place of the locals. After this, you will take a flight from Xi’an to Shanghai. Your Shanghai guide will meet you at the airport and accompany you to check in at the hotel.

Day 8: Stroll Along the Bund and Dinner in the Revolving Restaurant (B, D)

Explore the French Concession area to look for the trails of history. Then go on to visit the Yuyuan Garden, an exquisitely-built classical southern China garden.

In the afternoon, stroll around the Bund, which is the symbol of Shanghai, offering graceful architecture complex and charming Huangpu River views. Visit the Oriental Tower and have a romantic dinner in the Revolving Restaurant. At the end of the day, have a glimpse of the beautiful Huangpu River night view through the Bund Tunnel.

Lunch Idea: You may ask your guide for some advice about a fine local restaurant to try out the local cuisines, such as various kinds of dim sum which Shanghais is renowned for.


Day 9: Your own exploration (B)

Again you will have this day for yourself to explore Shanghai like a local. Go shopping in Shanghai (Dongtai Lu Antique Market, Bazaar outside Yuyuan Garden) or walk around Xintiandi, Nanjing Road and Tianzifang, all of which offer gorgeous city views.

This evening, the tour guide will meet you at the hotel and escort you have a wonderful time in a local night club. You get to see how the locals relax themselves and probably make a few Chinese friends there.


Day 10: Departure from Shanghai (B)

Our guide and driver will transfer you to the airport according to your homeward flight schedule. Your unforgettable China Honeymoon travel will end here.
