Xiguan Mosque is one of the ancient mosques in Lanzhou,the capital city of Gansu and it was built in the Ming dynasty. Xiguan Mosque covers an area of over 4,800 square meters and its construction area is over 3,000 square meters after it was rebuilt in 1990.

What to See/Do: The mosque was built in a forceful and firm momentum, which presents people an atmosphere of solemnity and prevailed reverence. The construction is unique and exquisite and it has a distinct Islamic style of decoration. The mosque has four floors which including worship hall, office and sermon hall, whereby the sermon hall can hold more than 3,000 people. The worship hall, Bunker tower and “the second door” are connected with a covery corridor. The Bunker tower is well designed to connect with the magnificent worship hall. This mosque has cultivated a large number of Islamic classics scholars. Besides, hundreds of Muslims abroad come here to visit and worship each year.
