Langmu Temple is not only the short name of the Taktsang Lhamo Kirti Gompa but also the name of an area including the Langmusi (meaning Langmu Temple) Town. Sometimes it can be a combined name for the Kirti Gompa and another temple called Serti Gompa.
The Kirti Gompa of Hongxing Town, Ruoergai County of Sichuan Province is opposite to the Serti Gompa of Langmusi Town, Luqu County of Gansu Province. Between these two temples is a stream, called Bailongjiang. Together with the stream, Kirti Gompa and Serti Gompa compose an important and very famous scenic spot at Langmu Temple scenic area. The best season to visit here is between May and September, when the weather is cool and Galsang flowers are blooming everywhere on the mountains. But if you happen to visit in winter, you may see rich religious activities. Although the temples are more and more famous, Langmusi Town is still a quiet and unique place.

Serti Gompa: Located north of Bailongjiang, architectures in Serti Gompa are gilded, which is a good place for photography.
